How Tulip Time Bloomed

Tulip Time has been part of Bowral’s story for generations.

It began with a simple idea: to bring more people to Bowral through the beauty of spring.

From that first local floral celebration in 1958, Tulip Time grew into a much-loved tradition shaped by the people who planted, planned, volunteered and believed in it.

Behind every garden bed is a story of community pride, local effort and a town that knew how to put on a show.

Explore the history booklet to discover how Tulip Time first bloomed and why it continues to hold such a special place in the Southern Highlands.
